| Why We Exist: To see God glorified through: Since then we renovated a building in downtown Bremerton, right across from Evergreen Park, with the intention of not only using it for our own services of worship but also as a means to engage our community. We desire is to see a diverse group of people and interest groups utilizing our facility, so we can build relationships with them, with the hope of bringing them to a greater and saving knowledge of the great God that we worship and love. We realize that this is not easy, and that we must be a people who live in a way that He can work powerfully and actively through us, changing our hearts and lives in order to see other's lives and hearts changed. Hebrews says that the builder of all things is God, and much as we have seen Him work in the building of this community and renovating this building, we are seeking that He would do the same through us to the community around us, being worshippers of God who are bringing others to worship Him, to the glory of God. We have localized Communities that meet weekly in our homes to foster deeper relationships where prayer, teaching, support, and encouragement can happen. We also have a variety of groups and gatherings that the folks at Seaside are involved in throughout the area. Currently the body is thriving, learning more and more about who we are in Christ, and how to live out our lives in response to that, making this a sweet time in our history. The Noah Project Kitsap is lined with coastline and it is easy to see why God has given us a vision for restoring boats and lives simultaneously. Our hope is to come alongside of the local schools and mentor youth while restoring water craft. We have multiple boats to be used by the body for fun and plenty of projects and room for more help! External Ministries Our External Ministries are about serving the people on the Peninsula. Many organizations are far more specialized in meeting specific needs with this community and we need to recognize their efforts and come alongside of them, partnering and serving with them as part of the work of God in this community. We currently partner with the YWCA, the Pregnancy Resource Center and the Bremerton Foodline, and partner with Nehemiah International for work in Africa and beyond. Church Planting Until we meet Jesus face-to-face we are to be going to and being imbedded in the culture with His gospel message. God continues to call and send His people and the church is called to be the means by which people are trained, equipped, sent, and supported. We are committed to not only to this local church but also in supporting other churches, both those who are planting and established bodies of believers throughout the area. We currently partner with Josh & Erin Gilbert, who are in year 3 of planting Trademark Church in Boise, have supported another church plant in Guatelmala, and also we are partnering with a plant in Baltimore, Freedom Church, being planted by Rob and Beth Steinbach. As part of that larger work we are training/discipling workers for this great harvest through our Leadership Training Community and partnering with other church communities in the area to form and plant communities in the future. There are many components to making this church community a success, but none more important than the people who come together to make it happen. If you are looking to worship God within a missions-minded fellowship, come to Seaside. There is nothing that compares to the privilege of being used to expand the Kingdom and of representing Jesus Christ to the people of Kitsap, Mason, and Pierce counties and beyond. Consider yourself invited to come and build with us. For His glory - The Elders of Seaside Church |
