| Our VISION
Is to see the Lord Jesus exalted in Kitsap through:
Planting This Church It’s been 5+ years since the foundation for Seaside Church had been started with one family. We since have seen many hearts restored, many marriages strengthened, and many children brought into the world to hear the good news from parents who love Jesus.
We have recently renovated a building in downtown Bremerton, right across from Evergreen Park. The intentions of our use will be for our own services of worship and to engage our community when we, the church, are in it and to see many varieties of people and interest groups utilizing our facility at other times so we can build bridges of relationship to them.
We also have Community Groups that meet weekly in our homes to foster deeper relationships where prayer, support, and encouragement can happen. Besides having other training events geared towards Christian development. Currently the body is thriving and maturing, making this a sweet time in our history.
The Noah Project Kitsap is lined with coastline and it is easy to see why God has given us a vision for restoring boats and lives simultaneously. Our hope is to come alongside of the local schools and mentor youth while restoring water craft. We currently do this twice a month on Monday nights. We have multiple boats to be used by the body for fun and plenty of projects and room for more help!
External Ministries If we are maturing in our faith we will realize that we have been called to bless our community. Our External Ministries are about serving the people on the Peninsula. Many organizations have been ‘out-loving’ the church and we need to recognize their efforts and come along side of them to show we care too. Currently we have been building relationships with different service groups and are now starting to serve with them.
Retreat Property - Webster defines retreat as: a time of seclusion, especially for quiet thought, prayer, or study. Many times in the Gospels we see Jesus retreating to spend time with the Father. The goal of our own spot is to provide that place of refreshment in order to maintain the health of our people. Besides for prayer and study the space could also be used for couples to get away together, and for families to have an affordable getaway. We currently utilize two different spaces for this and it’s awesome!
Church Planting Until we meet Jesus face-to-face we are to be going to the culture with His gospel message. God continues to call and send His people and the church is that mechanism which is to be used for training, equipping, sending, and supporting. We are committed to not only planting this church but in supporting other church plants and hopefully planting others ourselves. Currently we have sent out one church planter and we are training others through Internships.
There are many components to making this church plant a success, but none more important than the people who come together to make it happen. If you are looking to worship God within a missions minded fellowship, come to Seaside. There is nothing that compares to the privilege of being used to expand the Kingdom and of representing Jesus Christ to the people of Kitsap County. We are on the ground floor of building, with God as our architect, and Jesus the chief cornerstone. Consider yourself invited to come and build with us. But remember, we're always under construction!
For His glory,
The Elders of Seaside Church
